Craft. Process. Voice.
Why the artist series exists
Design education often focuses on tools and techniques. While those skills are essential, they are only the beginning. The Artist Series is built around a deeper question: What does this artist want to say? By encouraging students to create work that reflects their own ideas, influences, and interests, this project helps them develop the most important skill a designer can have — a distinct creative voice. These projects often become centerpiece portfolio pieces used for: college applications internships freelance work professional design portfolios
Meet the artists
Each entry in the Artist Series introduces a student designer and their work. Through their artist statements and process documentation, these creators share the ideas and influences that shaped their projects. We invite you to explore the work, the thinking, and the voices of the next generation of designers.
